President
Joel Thain is President of IntegriCom®, the company he founded in January of 2000 to provide Reliable IT Services℠ to businesses throughout metro Atlanta and the southeast. Joel is a proven leader and entrepreneur who loves solving problems, building solutions, and strengthening businesses through technology and better business processes. He also loves playing any role to enrich lives and strengthen families.
Joel excels in both Managed and Co-Managed IT Services, including the planning, implementation, and maintenance of complex network and telecom solutions. Cybersecurity and advanced networking are a special focus.
Joel directs teams of engineers and technicians in all aspects of corporate data & voice networks and systems. His technical knowledge base contains an extensive array of protocols, network topologies, operating systems, software, and hardware. Such broad and deep knowledge allows IntegriCom to function as a Virtual CIO (vCIO or vCTO) for small to medium-sized businesses.
Joel obtained degrees in both Digital Electronics and Telecommunications Technology, and he honed his skills for two decades, largely with Oglethorpe Power Corporation, the largest power supplier to the Electric Membership Cooperatives (EMCs) in Georgia and one of the state’s largest privately-owned companies.
Joel is an active member in a nationwide IT executives peer group, collaborating and mentoring with others from across the United States keeping up to date on all aspects of technology and leadership. You may have heard him on Centurion Advisory Group’s Stewarding Family Wealth podcasts or the Let’s Talk Business 2.0 podcast. He also contributes articles regularly to our Reliable IT Services℠ Blog.
Joel founded IntegriCom as more of a hobby than with a career in mind. But IntegriCom grew into a dynamic company over time prompting his resignation from the corporate world. Joel has guided the company’s continual growth as a managed service provider (MSP) for over two decades. The experience has provided many lessons and much enjoyment.
Joel loves his work and views it as a part of his life to enjoy, not as something he must do to enjoy the rest of life. Joel has been married for over thirty years and has three children, two of whom currently work within the business. He loves reading, being with his family, and traveling, both domestic and international.
