REvil is a Russia-based Ransomeware-as-a-service (RaaS) aka (Evil-as-a-service) operation. REvil’s tools are attacking companies compromising their data, encrypting that data, and taking down all computers in a company it can. After an attack, REvil affiliates threaten to publish the information on their page HappyBlog unless the ransom money is received. The scary thing about REvil is they sell their hacking technology to the highest bidder. Then the non-technical affiliates can attack anyone with high-end evil software. This means the shift from attacking large wealthy companies too small to medium size companies has shifted and is very profitable!
By demanding millions of dollars in ransoms and shutting down companies, Revil is attacking your industries small to medium size companies.
