On September 13, Apple published new OS versions. Version 14.8 was released for iOS and iPadOS containing an important security update.
The update contains fixes for 2 vulnerabilities:
- CVE-2021-30860 – Processing a maliciously crafted PDF may lead to arbitrary code execution.
- CVE-2021-30858 – Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution
The update is available for iPhone 6s and later, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad mini 4 and later as well as additional apple devices. Our recommendation is to update all devices to the latest OS version to maintain cybersecurity best practices.
